My name is Kamélia Faraj, and I am a member of the Ordre des diététistes-nutritionnistes du Québec (ODNQ). I also hold a RAMQ prescriber number authorizing me to perform certain reserved nutrition-related activities. Among other responsibilities, I am authorized to prescribe laboratory tests, nutritional formulas, nutrients, and blood glucose monitoring supplies following a prescription from a physician or nurse practitioner and when clinically indicated. I am also authorized to adjust prescribed insulin and antidiabetic medications when appropriate.
I hold bachelor's degrees in both Psychology and Nutrition, as well as a master's degree in Nutrition. Throughout my studies, I developed a deep understanding of the close relationship between psychology and nutrition. I learned that helping someone make lasting dietary changes requires more than nutritional knowledge—it also involves understanding their motivations, challenges, habits, and environment.
In private practice since 2019, I have helped more than one hundred individuals achieve their long-term health goals, including weight management, the treatment and prevention of medical conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and hypertension, as well as irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive disorders. I also work with active individuals and high-performance athletes to optimize their performance through personalized nutrition strategies.
I look forward to working as a team with you!
