Scott Donald holds a Master’s degree in Counselling, along with degrees in Education, Theatre, Psychology, and Arts from the University of Ottawa. He is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, with over 15 years of experience providing counselling services.
Scott is passionate about helping clients gain insight into themselves and their life circumstances. He considers it a privilege to support individuals on their journey toward greater self-awareness and meaningful change.
Working from a client-centred perspective, Scott integrates a range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), brief psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based practices, emotion-focused therapy (EFT), and solution-focused therapy. He believes that clients are the experts in their own lives and possess the inner resources for growth. His role is to collaborate with clients in building awareness and insight, while supporting meaningful and lasting change.
Scott strives to be flexible, compassionate, and responsive to each client’s unique goals and pace. He has extensive experience supporting clients with concerns such as self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, 2SLGBTQIA+ issues, and grief and loss, as well as other life transitions and difficulties.
