Hey there, I’m Vanessa, a qualifying Registered Psychotherapist (# 20385), Expressive Arts Therapist and Yoga Teacher.
I’m glad you found your way here.
I am also a seeker, dreamer, and deep feeler trying to navigate this world and perhaps you feel the same way too.
Maybe you recently lost someone or something important and you are now in that free-fall of great change and transition. Maybe you feel disconnected from the world and yourself, stuck in ruminating spirals, haunted by trauma, or like you just weren’t cut out for this world.
This is where art comes in. Throughout human history we have used the expressive arts to process and wonder at the complexity of being alive. When we engage in creativity and play, we tap into a buried way of knowing, one we had as kids. From that open, imaginative place, we meet parts of ourselves long hidden in our busy adult lives.
I’d love to be your humble companion in this. Co-creators of a life you can be proud of, to feel at home in your body and connected to those you love. Together we’ll get curious, play, and reassemble the pieces in a grounded way that meets you where you are. As a yoga teacher, I bring an embodied approach rooted in breath, presence, and inner listening.
While I absolutely welcome people of all identities, my work often resonates deeply with men and masculine-leaning clients who are navigating the pressure to ‘hold it all together’ and longing for a place to soften, express, and learn about themselves beyond old expectations. I offer 1 on 1 psychotherapy sessions both online and in-person that involve conversation as well as intuitive invitations to play with the body, the senses, and various artistic mediums.
In-person sessions are offered through the Toronto Wellness Collective’s professional office spaces, 201-489 College Street, Toronto
I also offer group expressive arts therapy throughout the city of Toronto and Online for those seeking community and a relief from isolation.
