Navigating life can be challenging, considering suffering and uncertainty are central to the human experience. In efforts to feel happier, we tend to deny our pain, hoping it will

eventually go away. It may be efficient for a while, but ultimately this prevents us from showing up authentically in our relationships and experiencing the very thing we want most: inner peace, confidence, connection and belonging. The good news is these challenges make us human, they are not uncommon, and you have what it takes to create the life you crave. It simply requires following your intuition and getting the support you need.

Aurélie Frenette-Araujo (MSW) is a licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Montréal and a member of the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et
familiaux du Québec (OTSTCFQ), and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Using an integrative approach, Aurélie supports those navigating the aftermath of living through challenging life events, its impact on their relationships, authenticity and self-esteem. She has extensive experience supporting clients with relationship issues, recovering from emotional neglect, codependency, and challenges with anxiety. Aurélie has 10+ years of working experience in the field. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from McGill University, a BA in Women’s Studies from Concordia University and a DEC in Social Services from Dawson College. Aurélie also has basic training in EMDR and the Flash Technique, two evidence-based interventions.  She is always looking to enhance her practice, through regular trainings, supervision, and peer consultation.
Compassion is at the heart of Aurelie's work. Her priority is to provide and cultivate a safe place to explore and heal from past wounds. She believes that counseling is a space to bring your experiences, beliefs and feelings to the forefront, and be met with understanding.  Aurelie will also aim to compassionately challenge you for your betterment, growth, and emotional wellbeing.
