Counselling Philosophy
At the heart of my counselling philosophy is the belief that meaningful personal growth emerges through self-discovery, emotional insight, and the courage to engage with change. I see the counselling process as a collaborative and dynamic journey—one that respects each person's unique story and inner strengths. I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients from all backgrounds feel seen and supported. Through compassionate guidance, I help clients deepen their self-awareness, navigate difficult emotions, and uncover the patterns that may be holding them back. Together, we work toward greater clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of personal agency. My practice is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for each individual’s capacity for change. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or seeking personal development, I welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and grow
About Christina
Christina is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. She is also a certified BC teacher and brings a rich professional background that includes leadership roles in both private and non-profit organizations. Christina has diverse clinical experience working with children, youth, individuals with special needs, adults, and families who have experienced domestic violence. Today, she works with adults from all walks of life—including professionals, business owners, parents, creatives, and individuals seeking personal clarity and meaningful change. Her areas of focus include life transitions, stress and anxiety, leadership and career development, boundary-setting, shame and self-worth, creativity blocks, and personal growth.
Her approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in Person-Centered Humanistic and Existential Therapy. Christina believes that each person is the expert of their own life and she collaborates with clients to help them reconnect with and identify their values, inner strengths, and goals. She draws from a range of evidence-based approaches including Mindfulness, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing to support the unique needs of every client.
With warmth, insight, and a deep respect for each person's journey, Christina creates a supportive space where clients can reflect, grow, and thrive—both personally and professionally.
Outside of work, Christina enjoys finding creative outlets, doing yoga, spending time in the outdoors, and playing with her children.
