Supporting Children, Youth, Families, and Individuals with Compassion and Clarity

With over 13 years of experience combined as a Registered Social Worker and Certified Canadian Counselor, I specialize in helping children, teens, and families navigate complex emotional and behavioural challenges. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, unhelpful thoughts, behavior choices, social skills, trauma, or navigating neurodivergent lives; I’m here to help your family feel more connected, confident, and supported.

I have a particular passion for working with families facing concurrent diagnoses, including disabilities, emotional regulation concerns, behavioural challenges, mood-related disorders like anxiety and depression, and neurodivergence. I believe that no matter the diagnosis or challenge, every child and family has the capacity for growth, healing, and thriving.

How I Work

My approach is warm, strengths-based, and tailored to each client. I provide a mix of play-based therapy for children, youth counselling, and parent coaching, depending on your family’s needs.  I am passionate about sharing psychological and neurological information that can facilitate your self awareness and empower you in your healing journey.  I also bring a trauma-informed lens to every session, helping create a space that feels safe, affirming, and empowering for every family member.

With children, I often use play therapy techniques to support expression and emotional regulation in ways that feel natural and engaging. For parents and caregivers, I offer practical strategies grounded in empathy, helping you feel more equipped and less overwhelmed.

What I Help With

I offer counselling for children, teens, and families in Calgary and virtually across Alberta. My areas of focus include:

  • Child counselling for emotional regulation, including anxiety and depression.
  • Neurodiverse support (e.g., ADHD, Autism)
  • Behavioural support strategies and school-related concerns
  • Parent-child conflict and communication struggles
  • Trauma, attachment, and developmental challenges
  • Grief, transitions, and family adjustment
  • Assertiveness and boundary building in teens
  • Social skill building, including perspective taking and conflict resolution
  • Cultural identity and navigating multiple cultural backgrounds
  • Spiritual identity support to facilitate meaning, purpose, and resilience

Therapy Approaches

I use an integrative counselling approach—drawing from a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities to best support each individual and family:

  • Play Therapy – to support emotional expression and behavioural change in children
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – to address unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns
  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) – to build emotional awareness and connection
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – to foster resilience and values-driven action
  • Narrative Therapy – to help children and youth re-author their stories
  • Spiritually based therapeutic approaches-acknowledging spirituality as a core piece of your whole self that enhances psychological wellbeing.
  • Mindfulness based regulation strategies – to promote calm and grounding
  • Parent coaching – to support connection, confidence, and structure at home
