Helene De Lamare (RCC)That’s where I come in. I will support you with a caring, collaborative approach tailored to your situation.
Expressing yourself in the language of your choices is key to the success of the therapeutic process. Bilingualism is at the heart of my personal, parental, and professional experience. For many bilingual people, emotions are easier to express in French, while others are easier to express in English. In therapy, you don't have to choose: you can express yourself in whichever language comes naturally to you.
I have supported clients from diverse backgrounds and demographics with care, compassion, and inclusion for over 20 years. Living in several countries has given me a firsthand understanding of what it means to navigate change, difference, and belonging. After a solid foundation in France as a Clinical Psychologist, I pursued further training and experience in Canada and became a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC. My practice is Humanistic, Trauma Informed, Person- Centered, and Strengths- Based. I embrace diversity and meet clients with unconditional positive regard.
For whom?
I am here to hold a safe, non judgemental space for our work together. I thoughtfully adapt my approach to meet your unique needs, drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities. I value a collaborative process —one that empowers you to what matters most to you and find the strength to heal and thrive.
Together, we will explore new ways to adjust to life's changes and uncertainties. When patterns repeat, you can find new ways to understand and respond. When everything feels stuck, you can develop coping tools to move forward again—at your own rhythm. We will explore new skills and practical strategies to support your day- to- day life.
