Because when we gather as a community, each of us connected to Him, something beautiful begins to grow. There’s depth, honesty, creativity, and love. And that’s what we want to cultivate here.
You’re invited to be part of it.
No pressure. Just an open invitation—to come as you are, to explore, and to connect.
We’re really glad you’re here.
— Katlyn & Hannah
- The cornerstone of the Christian faith is built on the belief of God the Father in heaven, Jesus his son, and the Holy Spirit which is sent to guide/help us.
Jesus died for our sins on the cross and rose again after.
This act has made it so we can have a closer relationship with God and are forgiven for the ways we hurt God and others around us and will always be forgiven of these things when we come to God and confess them. We don’t take his grace for granted living our lives however we want only to rely on God to forgive us if we ask.
The process of being more like Jesus takes obedience, effort, humility and healing
- We believe the process of becoming more like Jesus looks like hearing his voice, following his lead (by listening to and obeying him) and through soul healing.
The bible was inspired by God, useful for instructing us and encouraging us as Christ followers.
- We admit that the bible is written by broken people in the context of broken cultures which means even though it holds good truths from God we need to use a lens of interpretation from knowing who God is, and he is love. We use prayer and the bible (not the book of Mormon, quran, etc.) to inform our sessions.
We love creation.
- We value creation because God made it. Therefore we deeply believe in respecting and caring for nature and animals and bring with us some eco-therapy values and ways of working into our sessions.
We love diversity.
- We welcome people from all walks of life and backgrounds. You don’t even have to classify yourself as a Jesus follower. If you are curious about him and making any kind of steps towards him you belong here.
We all might have different beliefs on how we practically live as Christ-followers.
- Everyone has their own beliefs and interpretations of the bible and life experiences so we try to create space and room for these differences. We only stand firm with the core tenants of the faith which we have shared above. The practical ways of how people live out their lives for Jesus looks different for each person depending on their convictions (eg. Someone may think drinking alcohol is ok as a Christian because it’s easier for them to not get drunk, whereas a recovering alcoholic might not think it’s ok because it’s much harder for them to not become drunk). These are secondary beliefs that we try not to allow to cause division between us as Christ-followers but rather respect each other in our differing views.
We aren’t pastors.
- We aren’t trained in theology but rather art therapy and know some things about the bible. We have our own perspectives on the bible but aren’t claiming to have all the answers or knowledge about God.
We don’t believe in telling people how to live their lives.
- We believe Jesus speaks to you about that. Our goal is to help you hear his voice and connect with him. We try to give advice when asked or when we have trust first.
Community is a huge value of ours.
- We meet and learn from each other as art therapists and we encourage this in our groups too. God made us relational people. We need others in our lives and having positive relationships with others as well as God can be healing and good.
We are trained in person-centered, relational, and trauma-informed methods of art therapy and bring these approaches into our sessions.
We have a fluid model of bringing people into this space to abide from different places across Canada and providing options for people. Our vision is if the art therapist you mainly meet with is away or on holiday you have the ability to meet with another therapist that has the same core beliefs in God and similar ways in how to facilitate art therapy sessions recognizing God’s guidance.
In art therapy school we were taught a model of art therapy where the sessions consist of the therapist, the client, the art. All are contributing members in the sessions and each have their part in providing clarity and healing for the client.

When the art therapy session is in a group format there are even more people contributing to and receiving healing and clarity from God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. The process is communal and rich.
