What is my clinician's treatment approach?
My
approach to therapy is integrative, meaning I use a mix of therapeutic
techniques that are tailored to meet your unique needs. This includes
methods like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT),
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Supportive Psychotherapy.
I
believe in meeting you where you are and working together to take
meaningful steps toward your goals. Part of our work include building
practical skills that can strengthen resilience and enhance your ability
to handle life’s challenges. I tend to offer tools, resources, or
“homework” to support your growth and help you apply what you’re
learning in therapy to your everyday life.
Finding
a good fit with your clinician is important, and I’m here to answer any
questions you may have about my approach. If another clinician might be
a better match for your needs, I’m also happy to help with a referral.
As
a Registered Nurse, I follow a professional code of ethics and legal
guidelines, committing to honesty, integrity, and transparency in all
interactions. I aim to build a therapeutic relationship rooted in
respect, empathy, and accountability.
I
recognize and value cultural diversity, understanding how each person’s
background shapes their beliefs, values, and experiences. My goal is to
create a welcoming, affirming environment that respects your unique
cultural identity.
Boundaries
are essential in therapy to protect your well-being and ensure
confidentiality. I’m committed to maintaining clear, professional
boundaries that support our work together and follow ethical guidelines
around physical contact, personal disclosures, and dual relationships.
Above
all, I strive to provide a safe, inclusive space where you can openly
explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment.
