Meet Trisha Mendoza

A Collaborative Partner in Your Healing Journey

Therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. I bring clinical expertise, and you bring the lived experience that shapes our work. Together, we create a space where you can explore your story with compassion, curiosity, and respect.

My Approach

Holistic, Flexible, and Tailored to You

I see each person as a whole—shaped by biology, environment, culture, and personal history. Because every story is unique, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities rather than a single method. Depending on your needs, we may use tools from CBT, DBT, Trauma‑Informed frameworks, or other evidence‑based approaches. This integrative style allows us to adapt as you grow, ensuring our work remains meaningful and relevant.

Experience Rooted in Community

With more than 20 years of experience across school boards, justice systems, community health, child welfare, and non‑profit sectors, my work is grounded in a deep understanding of complex needs and systemic barriers.

I offer services in both English and French and am committed to providing culturally sensitive care for racialized and BIPOC individuals. My practice honours identity, lived experience, and the unique stressors that come with navigating marginalized spaces.

As a Certified Shanker Self‑Reg® Presenter with The MEHRIT Centre, I support families and professionals in understanding the role of the nervous system in self‑regulation. Whether working with children, parents, or educators, my focus is on fostering calm, connection, and insight.

Education & Professional Values

I hold a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Psychology. My work blends academic rigor with a grounded, compassionate presence. Therapy should feel both safe and practical—rooted in evidence, yet deeply connected to the realities of everyday life.

Reaching out is a brave step. Your pace will always be respected, your autonomy honoured, and your growth supported.

Fees & Insurance

Many extended health insurance plans cover therapy services.
The fee for individual therapy is $155 per 50‑minute session (virtual or in-person).

Payment can be made by e‑transfer or credit card, and receipts are provided for insurance reimbursement.
