Accessibility
Colib wants every practitioner and every patient to be able to use the platform, whatever their abilities and the tools they use. This statement describes the accessibility requirements Colib meets and how to report a difficulty.

Standard and level
Colib follows the Web accessibility standard of the Quebec Treasury Board (SGQRI 008), which relies on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 of the W3C. The level targeted is AA. The platform is partially compliant: the requirements listed below are met, the others are being worked on.
Requirements met
Text and interface components use the Colib palette, checked for a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for controls.
The interface is built to be operated with the keyboard alone, with a skip link and a visible focus ring, and is being checked screen by screen.
The inactivity warning shown before an automatic sign-out never extends itself on its own, so that everyone has the time to read it and to react. A warning appears two minutes before an automatic sign-out, with a Stay signed in button to extend the session.
Every field has a label, required fields are announced, and errors are described in text next to the field concerned.
The language of each page, English or French, is declared so that screen readers use the right voice.
Text can be enlarged up to 200% in the browser without loss of content or function.
Menus, buttons and icons keep the same place and the same meaning from one page to the next.
Meaningful images have a text alternative and decorative icons are hidden from assistive technologies.
Live captions can be turned on during a video session, in English or French, by a participant whose browser supports on-device speech recognition (currently Google Chrome on a computer); every participant then sees them, whatever their browser. Their size, text colour and background colour can be adjusted, and the caption box can be moved anywhere on the screen.
