At Colib, our mission is to empower naturopaths, acupuncturists, homeopaths, reflexologists, and hypnotherapists with tools and resources that help you focus on what matters most—supporting your clients and achieving meaningful therapeutic outcomes. Here's how our online software makes that possible:
-One booking page, several modalities : Acupuncture, naturopathic consultation, reflexology or massage each get their own duration, price and availability, and clients pick the right one online.
-Health history collected before the first visit : Intake questionnaires covering medications, supplements, allergies and contraindications, plus informed consent, are signed online and filed automatically.
-Receipts clients can claim : Insurance receipts carry your name, registration number and profession, so clients of regulated practitioners submit them to their extended health plan themselves.
-Products and services on one invoice : Sell supplements, remedies or herbal preparations alongside your treatments, with the right taxes applied to each line.
-Treatment records kept properly : Protocols, points, techniques and recommendations are dated, preserved and access-logged, whether or not your modality is regulated in your province.

From traditional healing practices to modern integrative therapies, Colib supports diverse modalities.
Registered Massage Therapists (RMT) are a regulated health profession in Ontario, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island, not an alternative medicine discipline. They use Colib too, often in the same integrative clinics, with receipts that carry their registration number. Practising in Ontario or British Columbia? See our guides on EHR software in Ontario and EHR software in British Columbia, or compare Colib as a Jane App alternative.
Many extended health plans reimburse naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and massage therapy, but only when the practitioner is registered with the regulator the insurer recognizes: for example the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario or the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Unregulated modalities such as reiki, reflexology or homeopathy are rarely covered.
What the insurer checks is the receipt: practitioner name, registration number, profession, service, date and amount paid. Colib prints all of it on every insurance receipt, in the client's language, so the client submits it to the insurer directly. Colib does not transmit claims to insurers; the client stays in control of the submission.
Tax treatment varies by modality and by province: some regulated services are exempt from GST/HST, others are taxable, and supplements, remedies or herbal preparations are almost always taxable. In Colib you set the default taxes once for each appointment type and each product, and every invoice and receipt follows. Year-end tax summaries go straight to your accountant.
Add supplements, tinctures or remedies to the same invoice as the treatment, track product sales separately from services in your reports, and let clients pay everything online in one go.
A naturopathic intake is not an acupuncture intake, and neither looks like a massage intake. Build one questionnaire per modality -- health history, current medications and supplements, allergies, contraindications, pregnancy, goals -- and send it automatically when the client books. Informed consent to treatment and, if you offer virtual consultations, telehealth consent are signed online and filed with the questionnaire before the client walks in.
Recurring questionnaires let you follow a protocol over time: a symptom diary every week, a check-in before each follow-up, with answers charted in the client file.
Regulated modalities have record-keeping standards close to those of any other health profession: dated entries, a treatment plan, the protocols, points or techniques used, the products recommended, and a retention period after the last visit. Colib timestamps every note, preserves its history, logs every access to the file and hosts everything in Canada, under PIPEDA and Loi 25.
If your modality is not regulated in your province, you get the same structure -- which is exactly what clients, insurers and integrative clinics expect from you.

The questions naturopaths, acupuncturists and wellness practitioners ask most before choosing Colib.
Often, when you are registered with the regulator the insurer recognizes. Colib prints your name, registration number, profession, service and amount on every receipt, and the client submits it to their extended health plan. Colib does not transmit claims to insurers.
Yes. RMTs are a regulated health profession in Ontario, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and PEI, and Colib supports their needs: online booking per treatment length, health history and consent forms, treatment notes, insurance receipts with the registration number and online payments.
Yes. Products are added to the same invoice as your services, each with its own default taxes, and reports separate product sales from treatment revenue.
Yes. Each appointment type has its own duration, price, taxes, intake form and online availability, so a 90-minute massage, a 20-minute acupuncture follow-up and a naturopathic initial consultation can coexist on one booking page.
You set the default taxes for each appointment type and product once. Exempt services are invoiced without tax, taxable services and products get the taxes of your province, and year-end summaries are ready for your accountant. Check your own tax status with a professional.
No fixed subscription: $3 per appointment with a $9/month minimum, which suits part-time and growing practices. Larger clinics can choose an unlimited plan. See our pricing page.
